OUR STORY
AbodeofAngelsApparel didn’t begin with a business plan.
It began with a dream.
In that dream, I was searching for something. I went from room to room throughout a house looking everywhere I could think of. I opened doors, searched drawers, checked every corner, and tore through the house trying to find what I was looking for.
The strange thing was that I didn’t actually know what I was searching for.
I only knew that I needed to find it.
The search felt urgent. The feeling was overwhelming. I kept looking and looking, but no matter where I searched, I couldn’t find what I needed.
Then the Lord spoke to me.
He told me to take off my shirt and look at the tag on the back of the neck.
When I did, I was immediately overwhelmed with a sense of relief. It felt as though I had finally found the thing I had been searching for all along. The search was over.
Then I woke up.
For days, I couldn’t stop thinking about that dream. It stayed with me. I prayed about it constantly, asking God what it meant and what He wanted me to do. The more I prayed, the stronger the conviction became.
I felt an undeniable pull to create a clothing brand that glorified Him.
At the time, I had no experience in fashion. I wasn’t connected to the clothing industry. I didn’t have investors, manufacturers, or a team.
All I had was a calling.
So I took the first step.
I went to Michaels and bought a few blank shirts. Around that same time, someone heard me talking about my passion for creating clothing and offered me a Cricut machine they had sitting in their house collecting dust for years.
To most people, it probably seemed insignificant.
To me, it felt like provision.
I didn’t have the money for expensive equipment, but somehow I had exactly what I needed to begin.
So I started working.
Night after night, I sat in a basement teaching myself everything I could. I cut vinyl designs, pressed shirts, made mistakes, learned from them, and then did it all over again the next day.
There were no shortcuts.
No overnight success.
No glamorous beginning.
Just prayer, faith, and a willingness to keep showing up.
When I finished making a shirt, I’d take it to a local park with a camera and photograph it myself. Sometimes that meant standing outside in the middle of winter with more than a foot of snow covering the ground, taking pictures because there was nobody else to do it.
I believed in what God had placed on my heart, even when it didn’t make sense.
As time went on, I began studying both Christian apparel and streetwear brands. I saw countless clothing companies spreading messages of faith, and I thank God for every one of them. But I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was missing.
Too much of what I saw felt repetitive.
A basic shirt.
A Bible verse.
A phrase that’s been used a thousand times before.
While there is absolutely power in Scripture, I felt called to approach things differently.
I wanted to create clothing that could stand alongside the most respected brands in fashion—not only in message, but in quality.
I started asking myself questions.
Why should clothing that represents Jesus settle for average quality?
Why should Christians be known for doing the bare minimum creatively?
Why shouldn’t a faith-based brand pursue excellence in every detail?
That mindset changed everything.
What began as simple shirts in a basement evolved into a relentless pursuit of creating something different.
Not just different designs.
Different garments.
Different fabrics.
Different fits.
Different details.
I wanted clothing that felt premium the moment someone picked it up. Heavyweight materials. Superior construction. Thoughtful silhouettes. Pieces that could compete with brands selling hoodies and t-shirts for hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
But I also wanted them to remain accessible.
Because the mission was never luxury.
The mission was impact.
At the same time, I wanted our designs to be original.
I didn’t want to simply place Bible verses across the front of a shirt and call it a day. I wanted every piece to tell a story, spark curiosity, and create opportunities for conversation.
Because not everyone will walk into a church.
Not everyone will pick up a Bible.
Not everyone will listen to a sermon.
But almost everyone notices clothing.
A shirt can start a conversation.
A design can make someone ask a question.
A question can open a door.
And a door can lead someone to Jesus.
That is the heart behind AbodeofAngelsApparel.
We are not here simply to make clothes.
We are here to glorify God through creativity, craftsmanship, and originality.
Every collection is created with intention.
Every garment is designed with purpose.
Every detail matters.
We believe excellence honors God.
We believe creativity is a gift from God.
We believe Christians should create boldly.
And we believe that Jesus Christ deserves our very best.
What started with a dream, a few blank shirts, a free Cricut machine, late nights in a basement, and freezing photo shoots in the snow has become something much bigger than clothing.
It has become a mission.
A testimony.
A reminder that God often begins extraordinary things in ordinary places.
This is AbodeofAngelsApparel.
Built through faith.
Driven by purpose.
Created to glorify Christ.
Until Everyone Knows.
